Kaneohe Woodworking

Made in Hawaii

Thank you for visiting our website. We're a small shop on the Windward side of the island of Oahu in Hawaii, creating Polynesian-themed items using tropical, exotic wood whenever possible.

"Kaneohe", the name of our town, means "Bamboo Man" in the Hawaiian language, and our bamboo man logo is taken from a petroglyph on the Big Island of Hawaii, believed to be nearly 1,000 years old. Kaneohe is on the Windward, greener side of Oahu, on the opposite side of the Ko’olau mountain range from Honolulu. Our side of the island is more rural than the Honolulu side, with vertical mountain faces and impenetrable jungle being the predominant features. Our shop is north of Kaneohe, just a few miles from the Jurassic Park filming locations.

All of the wood in our products has been grown and harvested sustainably in Hawaii. The wood we use is either farmed specifically for use in furniture or comes from trees naturally felled or cut for purposes other than the production of lumber. We will never knowingly use wild-harvested wood.
