Terms and Conditions

Made in Hawaii

Terms and Conditions

In this Agreement ("Agreement" or "Terms and Conditions"), “You” means the buyer of Our products or the user of Our services, and “We,” “Our,” and “Us” mean Kaneohe Woodworking LLC. By visiting Our website, doing business with Kaneohe Woodworking LLC, or communicating with Us, You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

This Agreement applies to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use this website or to purchase, sell, or use Our products.

With the exception of things like hinges, the products We sell are made by us in a very small workshop on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and contain irregularities that may not be obvious at first. From the way the wood grain and spalting look to differences in the carvings on the product to the way that a product is put together and defects in the wood, there will be variations and imperfections. Any carvings are done with a small CNC machine in Our shop, and the rest of each item is handmade with typical wood shop tools. As with all hand-crafted items, there will be flaws.

We build Our products in the order that We receive orders, and depending on how busy We are, it may take longer than We thought to finish yours. We ship in the way that We talk about on Our shipping page and shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout. Although We’ll try, please remember that We simply cannot guarantee that the things We sell will get to You by a particular date.

Customized or personalized items include those for which You've selected specific patterns, finishes, woods, or other unique features. This also covers products that have been personalized with laser engraving or specific finishes. These products must be prepaid in full at the time of order. All sales of custom or personalized products are final. Refunds or returns for these items are not accepted.

For non-customized products, We offer a 10-day return policy from the date of delivery.

If You wish to return an item, ensure that the product is returned to Us in its original condition, identical to how it was shipped to You.

You must pay for all shipping and insurance costs for the return.

Upon Our receipt and inspection of the returned product, if the item is in its original condition, We will process a full refund within two weeks.

If the product shows signs of damage or wear, We reserve the right to refuse the refund.

We strongly recommend insuring return shipments, as We can only refund items that We receive in their original condition. Shipping and insurance costs for returned items are non-refundable and must be borne by the customer.

THIS RETURN POLICY IS A COURTESY EXTENDED TO OUR CUSTOMERS AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE.

We have the right to cancel or to not accept Your order or to reject Your customization for any reason.

With very few exceptions, We put Our logo and other information on Our products. We may also say what type of wood the product is constructed of and note that the product is made in Hawaii.

This Agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu, without regard to their conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute between You and Us arising out of or in connection with this Agreement must be resolved exclusively by the State courts located on the island of Oahu in the State of Hawaii.

This Agreement is the entire agreement between You and Us regarding the products and services We provide and supersedes and replaces any prior agreements there might be between You and Us. If there is a conflict between this Agreement and something else that You and We have agreed, or if this Agreement conflicts with something else on Our website, in Our advertising, or in any other form, medium, or platform, then the terms of this Agreement shall control.

We have the right to modify or replace this Agreement at any time, and You agree to be bound by that changed or replaced Agreement.

We sell products and services, and You buy them. You and We do not have any other business relationship unless We specifically agree in writing that We do.

The designs of Our products, including any carvings on those products, are the copyrighted property of Kaneohe Woodworking LLC and may not be duplicated. However, We do not claim copyright in the original kapa or tapa cloth on which patterns are based.

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY US AGAINST ANY CLAIM MADE BY ANYONE IN CONNECTION TO ANY OF THE SERVICES OR GOODS COVERED BY THESE TERMS. OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY REASON AT ALL IS LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF YOUR ACTUAL DAMAGES AND THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE DAMAGES. IF A LAW PROVIDES YOU WITH GREATER PROTECTION THAN IS PROVIDED FOR IN THIS AGREEMENT, THEN THAT LAW WILL CONTROL ONLY THE PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT TO WHICH IT APPLIES.

THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON OUR PRODUCTS BEYOND WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THIS AGREEMENT, WHETHER IMPLIED OR EXPLICIT, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

If any provision of this Agreement is to any extent invalid, illegal, or incapable of being enforced, that provision shall be excluded only to the extent of that invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability, and all other provisions will remain in effect.

If any provision of this Agreement is inconsistent with any other statement on this website, this Agreement shall control.
